Celebrity chefs to serve up tastes of Lowcountry at ‘Roots’ dinner
The Morris Center for Lowcountry Heritage will launch a culinary event, “Roots: A Taste of Lowcountry Heritage,” from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Callawassie Island Club.
Activities at the event will include a silent auction, live music, dancing and appearances from celebrity chefs. Virginia Willis, Sallie Ann Robinson and Jim Spratling will provide a Lowcountry menu for the evening.
The event will also feature music by Luke Mitchell and a talk with Glenn Roberts, founder of Anson Mills.
