Describe the most elaborate wedding cake you ever made: One that needed to match the bride's wedding gown. I had to make the butter cream to reflect the subtle pattern of a cream-colored satin damask. The bride loved it. I was very happy.
Funniest kitchen incident? When my manager (a female) proposed to her husband in our walk-in cooler.
What's the most underused or underrated ingredient? Water.
Best kitchen discovery? To always start with a dry, hot pan.
