From the closing of the beloved Stack’s Pancakes, Aunt Chiladas and Grooby’s Too to the opening of Masala Mantra Indian Bistro and Kung Fu Cantina, the local dining faithful know that the restaurant scene in Hilton Head Island and Bluffton is constantly changing. More changes are coming to another spate of local restaurants.

  • Nectar Farm Kitchen will re-open on Hilton Head at the former site of Lucky Rooster in South Island Square. At the end of August, SERG Restaurant Group announced they were closing the Hilton Head Nectar location to make room for the new One Hot Mama’s, a BBQ joint. The new site will mirror the setting and size of the Bluffton location, and will open in mid-December at 841 William Hilton Parkway, according to a press release from SERG.
  • Avocado Bleu in Bluffton announced, through a printed sign on their door, that they had sold their business. The vegetarian restaurant, located next to Buffalo Wild Wings in Kittie’s Crossing, had a second location on Hilton Head that has been closed for several years, according to the businesses that it once neighbored. Calls to the owners regarding the sale were not returned as of Monday night.
  • Al’s Aloha Kitchen, a Hilton Head restaurant that has served fresh poke bowls and smoothies on the south end for over five years, announced through social media that due to unforeseen circumstances, they would no longer be opening a location in Bluffton. In January, the owners shared that they would be opening up a second location along Buckwalter Parkway in the Washington Square development. Despite numerous attempts to reach the owners, calls from The Island Packet were not returned as of Monday night.
