Time to vote! Which are the best coffee shops in HHI, Bluffton and Beaufort areas?

It’s not hard to find a coffee shop in Beaufort County. They are plentiful and, it seems to us, generally busy at all times of day. (And more are in the works!)
Finding the best coffee though? That’s a different task altogether.
From artsy stand-alone businesses where the barista knows your order as soon as you walk in the door to chains that offer online ordering and zippy drive-thrus, there are coffee shops in Beaufort County to serve all tastes and preferences.
We asked readers to tell us their favorite coffee shops over the last week, and they responded with names of places almost anyone would recognize and a few hidden gems as well. We tallied the 200 nominations across three areas: Hilton Head Island, the Bluffton area and the Beaufort/Port Royal area.
Now, it’s time to narrow the field from eight in each area to four in each area.
Once that’s done, we’ll let you cut the list down to two in another poll. The final two will go head-to-head to determine each area’s winner. In a bonus round, the three area winners will compete for the overall title of Best Coffee Shop in Beaufort County.
The fine print
Please note the only prize is bragging rights. It’s also worth noting that, because we aren’t limiting the number of times anyone can vote, this poll should not be considered scientific. It’s just for fun!
