What are the best coffee shops in Beaufort County? We want to know what you think
Does a pumpkin spice latte give you the warm fuzzies for fall, despite the temperature pushing three digits? Are you more of a purist with your coffee and take it black and so hot it scorches your tongue?
Either way, it’s not hard to find a coffee shop these days in Beaufort County. They are plentiful and, it seems to us, generally busy at all times of day. (And more are in the works!)
We wondered if we could determine our readers’ favorite? Is it an artsy stand-alone business where the barista knows your order as soon as you walk in the door? Is it a chain that offers online ordering and a zippy drive-thru? Is there a hidden gem few people know about?
We want to know what our readers think. Which Beaufort County business — chains, local joints and food trucks are included — serves the best coffee?
Right now, we are simply asking for nominations, and we’ve divided the county into three parts: Hilton Head Island, Bluffton area and Beaufort/Port Royal area.
The top 8 nominations from each area will be winnowed to four and then two in a series of polls. The final two will go head-to-head to determine each area’s winner. In a bonus round, the three winners will compete for the overall title of Best Coffee Shop in Beaufort County.
The fine print
Please note the only prize is bragging rights. It’s also worth noting that, because we aren’t limiting the number of times anyone can vote, this poll should not be considered scientific. It’s just for fun!
