This Beaufort County restaurant is the best for comfort food says Travel and Leisure
Fletcher’s Café & Catering in Yemassee was recently named the best place to eat comfort food in the country by Travel & Leisure.
“We were blown away when we found out we were number one,” said co-owners Paula Flowers and Sharon Mansell in a news release. “We had no idea we were even being considered until one of our customers saw the list and sent us a link to the article.”
The restaurant topped a list of 25 put together by the magazine via an algorithm using Yelp reviews.
Squash puppies and pulled pork are a few of the favorites mentioned by Yelp reviewers for the restaurant.
Other restaurants on the list include Tubb’s Shrimp and Fish Co. in Florence, SC and Sly’s Sliders and Fries in Savannah.
Fletcher’s Cafe is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
