5K Walk/Run and wellness screenings at historic Mitchelville this weekend

Free health checks to include heart disease, stroke, aneurysm, diabetes risk assessment

The Fish Haul Creek Park 5K Walk/ Run will take runners through historic Mitchelville on Hilton Head Island Feb. 6.

In addition to the race, a free community wellness program will be available for runners or residents at the finish line.

The program will offer health screenings for abnormalities that may lead to heart attack, stroke, aneurysm or diabetes.

The race will start place at 8 a.m. Feb. 6, at Historic Cherry Hill School, 209 Dillon Road, on Hilton Head Island.
