Abandoned white sloth clings to stuffed animal for emotional support (:57)

Ash the baby sloth was brought to the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica orphaned and alone, and now he clings onto a stuffed animal for emotional support.

The Sloth Sanctuary wrote that they often give their rescued sloths stuffed animals to keep them from bonding too much with humans, which will give them a better chance of survival upon release.

"[He] clings onto the plush toy 'surrogate,'" while she is fed goats milk from a bottle, the Sloth Sanctuary said.
