Would you recommend this book to a friend?
Yes, it's a very good book. I totally would recommend it. It was a very interesting story, and I learned something from it, too. See, it was about this young girl named Wen who was adopted by this American family. But she had her best friend named Shu Ling, who was like her sister but a best friend. When she moved to America, she thought she needed to find a home for her friend. She was thinking about her family adopting Shu Ling, but that's not how it worked out. It just talked about her year in America and experiencing new holidays like Halloween.
Do you like to read or do you just read because you have to?
I like to read. Last year in fourth grade, I read after I was done with all my work. Sometimes when I'm reading, if there's a funny part, I just start laughing. And people are looking at me like, "What's so funny?"
Is it important for kids to read?
Yes, because if kids don't read, they're probably not going to end up with a good job because it's good to be literate because if you're illiterate, the world of jobs isn't really going to be that wide.
