Persian Cat With 'Human Face' Sounds Like a Chicken When Going Down Stairs
In the age of ever-evolving tech, the tried-and-true clips of funny pets are what get us through the day while everything else is... *gestures vaguely*. When in doubt, there's always a silly, wacky cat showing off whatever it is they're known for, and I, for one, am down for that!
A solid go-to for the quickest pick-me-up is Gus: a Persian cat with a human man's face. He has a lot of talents (like wearing matching outfits with Dad for his performances), but now he's added something very special to that list, so turn up your volume!

This may be Dad's new favorite thing, but it's mine now, too! Gus isn't usually the vocal type, so those hilarious chicken noises with every pounce down the stairs are comedy gold.
With more than 794k TikTok followers, @gasperandgus has become one of the web's fastest-rising kitty stars. Dozens of his videos have gone mega viral, and it's all thanks to his commitment to the bit.
He's been hailed as the "it" boy in the cat space with those rugged good looks that make him look like he's judging us all (he is) and that cool swag no one can compete with, so if you're not already following, get to it!

Gus is one of those cats you know looks like someone familiar, but you can't quite place him. Some say he and Dad are twinsies-what do YOU see?

Why Cats Make Noise Going Down Stairs
I'm a fan of whatever Gus does, and having one very vocal cat myself, I know those little sounds all too well. Cats make noises when skipping down the stairs for a few reasons.
It can be communication with us, a greeting (like a chirping sound or "trill"), the zoomies when they have a sudden burst of energy they need to burn, or a way of getting attention when the house is a little too quiet.
My favorite reason is that they're using the acoustics of the house so they're heard. It's a way for them to announce their presence or claim territory, and I think that's pretty adorable. Whatever reason Gus sounded off, it's his Willam Dafoe face I'll be thinking of the rest of my days.
