A St. Patrick’s Day celebration wouldn’t be complete without some festive drinks to go along with your Irish feast. Whipping up your own cocktails for this holiday is simple, and you can make them green for a fun twist. No need to search high and low for St. Patrick’s Day cocktails as I’ve gathered five delicious sips to prepare on the occasion. 1. Shamrock Mojito from Truly Hard Seltzer

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 (12 oz) can lime hard seltzer
  • Ice

Directions:

  1. Muddle mint leaves with simple syrup in a shaker.
  2. Add lime juice and ice, then shake vigorously.
  3. Pour contents into a tall glass and top with lime hard seltzer.
  4. Garnish with additional mint leaves and a lime wheel.

2. Matcha Old Fashioned from Zacapa Rum

Ingredients:

Drink base:

  • oz rum
  • ¼ oz matcha syrup (see recipe below)
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Matcha syrup:

  • 1 tbsp matcha
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups cane sugar

Directions:

Matcha syrup:

  1. Add matcha to pot, then sugar.
  2. Whisk together to mix, then add water.
  3. Bring all to boil in a saucepan. Stir gently so as to break up matcha. Then reduce heat and stir about 3 minutes.
  4. Let cool then pour into clean glass jar. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

To prepare cocktail:

  1. Pour matcha syrup in old fashioned glass and saturate with orange bitters and rum.
  2. Then, fill glass with ice cubes (or one large cube) and stir gently.
  3. Garnish with an orange twist.

3. The Leprechaun Stiletto from STK Steakhouse

Ingredients:

  • 2 cucumber slices
  • 6 mint leaves
  • ¾ oz simple syrup
  • ¾ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz St. Germain
  • 1½ oz Grey Goose Le Citron

Directions:

  1. In a shaker, muddle mint, cucumber, lime juice and simple syrup.
  2. Add vodka and St. Germain. Shake and strain into martini glass.
  3. Garnish with cucumber wheel float.

4. Mean Green Tajin from Michael Voltaggio/Marcado 28 Reposado Tequila

Ingredients:

  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1 jalapeño, remove seeds
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • Tajin
  • Lime volt (cut from the peel)

Directions:

  1. Paint the rim of glass with agave syrup, then dip rim in Tajin and fill glass with ice.
  2. Juice cucumber and jalapeño together. Measure out 1 oz of juice.
  3. In a shaker filled with ice combine tequila, cucumber-jalapeño juice, Triple Sec and lime juice. Give it a vigorous shake.
  4. Strain into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a jalapeño and lime volt.

5. Lucky Skrew from Skrewball Whiskey

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz peanut butter whiskey
  • ¾ oz heavy cream
  • ½ oz crème de menthe
  • ½ oz white crème de cacao

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake until chilled and strain into a glass of choice.
  3. Garnish with a chocolate rim.

6. Green Monster from Hpnotiq

Ingredients:

  • 10½ cups Hpnotiq
  • 5 cups peach vodka
  • 5½ cups pineapple juice
  • Ice

Directions:

  1. Mix chilled ingredients into a pitcher.
  2. Add plenty of ice.
  3. Serve over ice in a rocks glass.
