Megan Sims and Jared Gardner of Beaufort announce the birth of a daughter, Kensington Carlisle Gardner, at 1:17 p.m. May 5 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

The newborn weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 19 inches.

She has a brother, Jackson, 1.

Maternal grandmother is Michelle Sims of Beaufort.

Paternal grandmother is Marie Blankenship of Albany, Ga.
