Avery Marie Melton

Shay and Emily Melton of Beaufort announce the birth of a daughter, Avery Marie Melton, at 11:15 a.m. Jan. 18 at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville.

She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 19  1/2 inches.

Maternal grandparents are Jim and Michele Pigeon of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Paternal grandparents are Shane Melton of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Misty Adams of Grove, Okla.
