Lucy Byrd Smith

Jordan and Trevor Smith of Durham, N.C., announce the birth of a daughter, Lucy Byrd Smith, at 11:04 p.m. Sept. 18 at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, N.C.

She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 20  1/2 inches.

She has a brother, Austin, 8, and sisters, Eliza, 6, Maeve, 4, and Hadley, 19 months.

Maternal grandparents are Genie and Johnny Ussery of Bluffton.

Paternal grandparents are Margie and Stan Smith of Hilton Head Island.
