Grace Elizabeth Lape

Michelle and Brian Lape of Bluffton announce the birth of a daughter, Grace Elizabeth Lape, at 1:18 p.m. May 6 at Hilton Head Hospital.

The newborn weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 18  1/2 inches.

Maternal grandparents are Craig and Ongria Dow of Shepherd, Mich., and Diane Merrow and Dennis Dull of Bluffton.

Paternal grandparents are Dallas Lape of Shepherd, Mich., and Elaine McCoy of Jackson, Mich.
