Favorite school tournament down to 8: Is your school still in the hunt?
On Feb. 29, nearly 60 Beaufort and Jasper county schools - public to private to faith-based and across all age groups - were seeded, much like the NCAA’s March Madness tournament.
Week after week, you voted to see your favorite schools move on. And week after week, other schools fell by the wayside.
And now we’re down to only eight.
So who made the cut so far? Let’s review.
Bracket 1
Red Cedar Elementary now faces Bluffton Middle in our latest matchup. Both took narrow victories against Bluffton High and Beaufort Middle, respectively.
Bracket 2
Okatie Elementary has had convincing wins in each round of the tournament so far, most recently against Hilton Head Island Early Childhood Center. Okatie now faces River Ridge Academy, who won overwhelmingly against Port Royal Elementary.
Bracket 3
H.E. McCracken Middle faces Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts and Daufuskie Elementary. Both took strong wins against Lowcountry Montessori and Hilton Head Island Middle in the last round.
Bracket 4
