Rain overnight has tapered off for now and the day will be cloudy but mostly dry. Rain could return around midnight in places, becoming more widespread after 3 a.m.

The 5-day forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms Saturday, clouds without rain Sunday and, finally, sunshine for most of the next workweek.

High temperatures will be in the mid 70s through Saturday, falling to the low 60s Sunday and Monday, then climbing back into the 70s by midweek.
