Lane closures planned for Bluffton Parkway flyover work

Nighttime lane closures are planned on U.S. 278 between Buckingham Plantation Drive and the bridges to Hilton Head Island from Tuesday to Thursday this week.

The closures will start at 7 p.m. and end by 6 a.m. the following morning. Closures will affect westbound lanes on Tuesday and Wednesday and eastbound lanes on Thursday.

The closures will allow the contractor working on the flyover to pour a bridge deck and move materials on the site, according to a news release from R.R. Dawson Bridge Co.

Motorists are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the area and should expect delays.
