Bar fight at Brick Chicken in Bluffton leads to the police called

A man caused a scene about paying his $75 tab at Brick Chicken Thursday night, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

At one point the man grabbed a bar stool when arguing about his bill, witnesses at the bar told police. A man playing pool calmed the man and brought him outside where he was met by coworkers.

The owner of the bar told police he looked outside and found the man fighting with someone. He said this is when he called police.

Sheriff deputies said the man was bloody and following asleep upon their arrival. He told police he was beat up by his friends and he was “sorry”.

The other suspect in the fight left before police arrived.

The man’s wife was called to the scene, the report states. It states she paid the tab and took the man home.
