Beaufort County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who danced around their parking lot after he threw rocks at the office’s Hilton Head Island substation.

The slender, approximately 6-foot-tall man was caught on two of the station’s security cameras Wednesday night, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. The videos show the man running up to the building from the bushes that separate the property from William Hilton Parkway and throwing rocks from the parking lot spaces at a side glass door marked “Private Entrance.”

He then ran and danced around the parking lot before disappearing into the same bushes toward the parkway, according to the report.

Though he was seen on video, the cameras were not close enough to determine race or facial features to help identify the subject, according to the report.

The video footage of the dancing vandal has been submitted into evidence and is not available to the public, Cpt. Bob Bromage said Thursday afternoon.
