As our area visitors are enjoying time with their family and friends this summer, they may be dreaming of what it would be like to live here one day. It reminds me of the many residents who were once visitors, too.
Perhaps you recall the excitement you felt when you purchased a house or vacation home in the Lowcounty. Taking advantage of all the resort amenities, “locals” have a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and the core values of the community. Locals share in the vision of excellence for our guests, and our daily quality of life.
For most potential buyers, choosing to live in the greater Hilton Head Island area is a lifestyle choice. With today’s technology and easy airport access folks can work from just about anywhere, so why not here? If retirement is in your future, the area’s lifestyle is ideal for the active adult. There is something for everyone, even if it is not golf. There is an array of lifestyle choices in our area and a Realtor can help you narrow your options.
We are half way through 2016 and we’re in the thick of an exciting period of home buying and selling. We’re often seeing quick offers — sometimes multiple — that are near, at or even above the asking price, depending on the factors of the home and submarket. At the end of May, months supply of inventory was down 17.5 percent to 6.6 months.
Visitors, you may return home and start your search the online. While all that information is useful, there is nothing like having a Realtor to assist you in your decision. Only a Realtor has access to the latest figures and data about the area, and can provide you with the market comparisons and trends in a neighborhood.
