Hilton Head, Beaufort see rise in home sales
Home and condo sales rose 26.4 percent in the Hilton Head area and 9.7 percent in the Beaufort area in September when compared to September 2014, according to South Carolina Realtors.
In the Hilton Head area, the number of residential homes, condos and villas sold surged from 273 to 345. Additionally, the median price rose 18.2 percent, to $283,700, and the average days on market until sold decreased 17.1 percent, to 92.

In the Beaufort region, the number of residential homes, condos and villas sold rose from 154 to 169. The median price dropped 4.8 percent, to $165,000, and the average days on market until sold decreased 29.3 percent, to 94.

Statewide, the median sales price was up 7 percent to $174,460. Homes sold faster throughout September in South Carolina, with most on the market for 99 days, according to an S.C. Realtors news release. Months supply of inventory was down almost 17 percent to six months, the news release.
