Forest Beach tops Hilton Head short-term rentals. How does your neighborhood compare?
The Forest Beach residential community near Coligny Beach has more short-term rentals than any other Hilton Head neighborhood.
According to data on Hilton Head’s short-term rental dashboard, South Forest Beach and North Forest Beach combined have about 1,800 active listings.
Forest Beach has about 650 residential homes and 3,000 condos, according to a Jack Daly, vice president of the Forest Beach Owners Association.
Approximately 49.3% of total residences in Forest Beach are short-term rentals.
Closely following in the amount of active listings on the dashboard is Sea Pines, a gated community that lists rentals on platforms like AirBnb and VRBO. The community has 3,839 homes and 2,042 villas and about 1,700 short-term rental listings.
Around 28.9% of residences in Sea Pines are short-term rentals.
Palmetto Dunes has 1,400 short-term rental active listings. The neighborhood has 1,012 homes and 1,470 villas total.
Approximately 56.4% of residences are short-term rentals in Palmetto Dunes.
