▪ The audience will be standing on the beach from about 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and you must preregister. And the audience size will be limited.
▪ Trolleys will transport the audience to the broadcast location.
▪ There will not be any restrooms.
▪ Registered audience members should be at the Coligny Beach parking lot at 102 Pope Avenue, Hilton Head Island, no later than 6:45 a.m. for check in. Bring identification.
▪ Trolleys will leave at 7:15 a.m. sharp. Once the trolley leaves, it will not return to pick up latecomers.
▪ Identification is required.
Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer will host the entire hour in front of a live audience. Melvin is a native of Columbia.
“Palmetto State,” Roker said when the 3rd Hour crew announced the visit, “here we come!”
Special guests include Charleston native Lenard Larry McKelvey, known professionally as Charlamagne tha God, co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club. Also, several of the city’s finest chefs will join the program to showcase classic southern dishes and local fare. Dylan Dreyer will also connect with local volunteers to learn about the steps Hilton Head Island takes to protect the loggerhead sea turtles that travel there every year between May and October.
The NBC show can be seen locally on WCBD, channel 2, in Charleston, and WSAV, channel 3, Savannah.
