Luke Bryan usually sings “Crash My Party,” but he was the one doing the party crashing Saturday while he was in Savannah for the reboot of “American Idol.”

“We just did a day of auditions, and we found out that like, two minutes away, there’s a real, live wedding happening,” Bryan says in a video posted on the “American Idol” Facebook page.

The video shows Bryan arriving at the Charles Morris Center for the reception in time to hear “Crash My Party” playing and walking into a hall full of cheering fans with a bottle of champagne to toast newlyweds McKenna and Austin Lipski.

People magazine reported that the television show’s producers contacted the bride’s mother through the reception venue to make sure a surprise guest would be welcome, but the couple was kept in the dark until Bryan walked in.

The bride and groom shared selfies with the singer on each of their Facebook pages. McKenna told People that she had seen Bryan in concert twice.

Bryan is one of the three celebrity judges on the “Idol” revival set to begin airing in 2018. He’s being joined by Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.
