World Affairs Council of Hilton Head Island hosting speaker on Iran nuclear agreement
The World Affairs Council of Hilton Head Island will host a speaker from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace for a lecture on the nuclear agreement with Iran on Friday, according to a news release.
George Perkovich, the vice president for studies at the organization, will speak at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church Friday. Perkovich, a former member of the National Academy of Science's Committee on Arms Control and International Security and the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on Nuclear Policy, will discuss the ramifications of the nuclear agreement and talk about the risk of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East, the release said.
