Port Royal’s ‘Music From the Manger’ concert is returning. Here’s how to get tickets
Port Royal’s Music from the Manger Christmas concert — launched last year — is returning to Port Royal but it’s moving to a new indoor location.
Headlining the Dec. 17 concert is Liz Jane and her band including Jim Bachety on lead guitar, Kyle Fabian, bass, and Stefan Mozer on the drums. It begins at 7:30 at the Wardle Family YMCA.
Jane will be playing classic Christmas songs from her album, A Thrill of Hope. Other performers will be Emery Ward from Savannah’s The Wilde School of Music, the band Rock Solid of Port Royal and the Music From The Manger Choir led by Joshua Wall of Lady’s Island St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Wardle Family YMCA of Port Royal’s scholarship program. Buy tickets at musicfromthemanger.com or the door.
In 2021, the venue was a run-down warehouse at the Port of Port Royal that was converted into a manger and a concert hall. With Grey Ghost’s sale of the land to Safe Harbor Marinas, use of that property was not available this year so the concert was moved to the YMCA, Shelton said.
