Hilton Head’s Deas-Guyz filmed a performance for COVID-19 relief. Here’s how to watch

Right now, you can have one of Hilton Head Island’s most popular bands perform in your living room in an instant.

Deas-Guyz, the band that performs all over the United States, including sold-out Sunday night gigs at The Jazz Corner, has recorded a special performance to benefit local COVID-19 relief efforts.

Through Sunday, fans can make a donation to the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry and receive a private link to stream the concert. All of the proceeds will go toward the foundation’s Lowcountry Community COVID-19 Response Fund, and $9,000 of the $10,000 goal has already been raised.

The donation is “pay what you can,” but the foundation suggests a minimum $25.

To buy a “ticket,” visit https://bit.ly/deas-guyz-benefit-concert. You’ll then be emailed a link to download the concert, which you can watch an unlimited number of times until it expires Sunday.

The performance includes an upbeat mix of Motown, rhythm and blues, pop, rock, reggae and dance beats with musical selections such as sounds of the Temptations, The Drifters, Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Pharrell Williams and Montell Jordan.
