Hungry? Lucky you, the 13th annual Hilton Head Seafood Festival events start today

Attention seafood lovers, the 13th annual Hilton Head Seafood Festival is here, with new events and an even larger festival on Saturday.

The week-long schedule is all about local seafood, and will feature celebrity chefs, sommeliers, authors, mixologists, artisans, musicians, and more.

The festival itself will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Honey Horn Plantation.

More than 45 booths will be set up for food, drink tastings, arts and other activities. Festival organizers have arranged for live music, cooking demonstrations with book signings, and carnival-type rides and games for families.

Admission is $10 a person; kids 10 and under are free. Parking is free, although event organizers encourage carpooling, Uber, and Lyft. No pets are allowed at Saturday’s event.

For $139 you can use the new VIP lounge, which features comfy seating, a full bar and fully catered experience.

If you want to keep the fun going, the festival’s official after-party is from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Palmetto Bay Marina. No ticket is required for Saturday’s after-party, and the Carolina Crab Company and Black Marlin will host live music with drink and menu specials for the entire family.

Although tickets to some events leading to Saturday’s festival are already sold out, you can still attend these activities:

Monday, Feb. 24: Daufuskie Island History and Artisans Excursions

Tuesday, Feb. 25: Raise a Glass: Dinner with Robert Simonson and Clayton Rollison

Wednesday, Feb 26: At Table Seaside: Culinary Discussion + Chef Experience

To see a full schedule of events and to buy tickets, visit the festival’s website.

Proceeds from the festival go toward the David M. Carmines Foundation, which raises funds for nonprofit organizations throughout South Carolina.
