Bluffton Self Help aids grandmother after reunion with grandson

Bluffton Self Help logo 2015

Joann had been trying for six months to bring her grandson to live with her.

His mother had left the country suddenly, and his father was unknown. The young boy had been held safely for a month in a detention center in another state until guardianship could be sorted out.

His grandmother was finally able to bring him to live with her and enrolled him in school, bought his uniforms and supplies, and stocked the house with food. But all of the added costs had left her short on rent.

So Bluffton Self Help provided the needed financial assistance.

Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
