Bluffton Self Help recipient returns assistance card after family recovers financially
Bluffton Self Help volunteers got a little surprise this year when one of their clients came in to return her card that allows her to receive food and clothing assistance from the charity.
The client told them the family was doing better and asked that the card be given to someone who needed the help more.
It's those moments that make volunteering at Bluffton Self Help worthwhile. Last year, more than 70,000 hours of volunteer time was donated to the organization.
Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
