Bluffton Self Help pays rent after woman loses job, awaits unemployment aid
Belinda came to Bluffton Self Help after losing her job of eight years.
She had filed for unemployment and was due to receive her first payment, but she could not pay her entire month's rent before the check arrived.
Bluffton Self Help paid a portion of her rent so she did not fall behind while waiting on her new job.
Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
