Deep Well keeps the lights on for Hilton Head couple

A large electric bill last winter left Frieda and Mark of Hilton Head Island short of funds.

Frieda's sister had died just a few months before, and the couple had also chipped in for some of the funeral expenses.

In their mid-60s and in poor health, their meager income from Social Security was not enough to cover all their expenses.

Deep Well paid the electric bill.

Deep Well provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, the sick and the elderly.
