Local Thanksgiving closings

Federal, state and local government offices will be closed for Thanksgiving.

Thursday is a federal holiday.

The state of South Carolina's government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Bluffton Town Hall will get a jump on the holiday, closing at noon Wednesday for the rest of the week. Most local government offices in Beaufort County will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Beaufort County's trash and recycling sites will be closed Thursday, but back open Friday at regular hours.

Beaufort County public school students are off Wednesday through Friday.

The New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ will be closed Thursday. They will open Friday but close at 1 p.m.
