Did you do your Christmas shopping at Tanger? Here’s how that money is saving lives
What are you hoping to get for Christmas? It would have to be pretty spectacular to beat the gifts that Tanger Outlets, Hilton Head gave out this week.
The popular retail center gave a combined $10,612 to charity on Tuesday, Dec. 12, a press release states.
The primary recipient of Tanger’s generosity was DragonBoat Beaufort, which provides cancer survivors a chance to heal and both physically and psychologically through the bonds of friendship and competition forged in DragonBoat paddling and racing, according to the release. The organization also gives grants to cancer survivors in financial need.
Tanger gave $9,112 to DragonBoat Beaufort, which was raised through their annual PinkSTYLE campaign, the release said.
The remaining $1,500 was divvied up between a few different Beaufort County public services, with the Bluffton Township Fire District, Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services Unit and the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office each receiving a $500 holiday donation, according to the release.
“Tanger greatly appreciates our local agencies and organizations for the support they provide our community throughout the year,” said Ashley Doepp, General Manager of the Tanger Outlets, Hilton Head, in the press release. “They are a pivotal reason why Beaufort County is such a great place to live and do business.”
