Santa has visited kids across Beaufort County with his firefighter pals this season
Despite a few nights of bad weather, Santa Claus has been all across Beaufort County to visit kids with the help of his firefighters friends so far this holiday season.
St. Nick has connections with Beaufort-Port Royal Fire Department, Burton Fire District, Lady’s Island-St. Helena Fire District and Bluffton Township Fire District. Check the fire departments’ Facebook pages to find out when and where Santa will be coming to town.
Santa rode the streets with Beaufort-Port Royal firefighters on Dec. 3 for the Beaufort Christmas Parade, making an appearance in one of Fire Chief Reece Bertholf’s many selfies with community members.
He has also been making his way around with Burton firefighters, visiting different neighborhoods when the weather allowed. He made it over to Broad River Elementary School Friday night.
But he knew when he needed to stay in after rain canceled his trips into neighborhoods.
Thanks to the wonderful safety education presented by the Burton Fire District, Santa knows, safety first!

Saturday night, Santa hitched a ride with Lady’s Island and St. Helena Island firefighters — and a couple holiday guests!
Santa is set to come through Bluffton neighborhoods, too, this year. He and Mrs. Claus spent some time at the fire district’s Christmas party and they’ll be back out in the community when the weather allows.
Keep an eye out for that jolly guy in your community. Santa has some other events planned for this holiday season, too.
