Community contributions: Deep Well Project

Susan and her large dog arrived at Deep Well last spring and were homeless.

Susan was relocating from the Northeast after her son had died, which Deep Well confirmed through Google.

Susan was washing dishes at a local restaurant and needed a place to stay until she got paid.

Because of the dog, Deep Well had to secure a room in Hardeeville. Deep Well paid for 10 motel nights as well as giving Susan gas money to get back and forth to work.

After 10 days, she found a place to stay in Beaufort and had secured a new job there.

Deep Well provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, the sick and the elderly.
