Community contributions: Deep Well Project
Eddie, a man in his 50s, showed up at Deep Well needing food and a shower.
Eddie was living in his truck and, from time to time, he would be working, but not for long. He admitted he had a problem with alcohol.
For many months he would come to our facility several times a week for a shower and food and would often help us out by taking trash to the dump. He was encouraged to go to Alcoholics Anonymous, and his friends there secured a place for him to live. Eddie has now been at the same job for many months and only occasionally comes to Deep Well for food.
Deep Well provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, the sick and the elderly.
