Community contributions: Deep Well Project
Lewis was 65 when he called us last winter. He had been working at a local restaurant but became disabled due to a stroke.
Even though he was living in the least expensive place on the island, he was unable to pay his rent, having depleted all his savings.
Deep Well helped him with rent and provided him with an ample supply of food.
Deep Well provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, the sick and the elderly.
