Deadline extended: Hey Lowcountry kids, what are you thankful this year?
Gratitude is an important trait to teach children. And now is the perfect time of the year to stop spinning for a moment and think about all the things we are grateful for.
We want to know what local kids are thankful for this year, and we want to showcase them on our front page Thanksgiving Day.
We’re asking parents, grandparents and teachers to:
1) Ask kids what they are thankful for.
2) Have them make a list (or the adult can write it for them).
3) Snap a photo of the child with the list.
4) Post the photo to our Facebook page or email Mandy Matney at mmatney@islandpacket.com. Please include your child's name and age.
We have one request: Please submit authentic answers beyond faith, family, and health (because we’re all thankful for that). We are asking kids because they are thankful for the little things that make our readers laugh and smile. Bonus points if any parents want to send cute videos, too.
All photos must be submitted by noon Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Photos will appear online and some may also find themselves in the print edition.
