Still rebuilding from Hurricane Matthew, here’s how the Lowcountry did Halloween
It was only weeks ago that Hurricane Matthew tore its way up the coastline, leaving behind a total of $8 billion in damages and becoming the costliest hurricane since Sandy in 2012.
In Beaufort County, the effects can still be seen by downed trees and the businesses that remain closed.
But all that didn’t stop locals - from kids to parents to pets - from taking in Halloween fun Monday. In some cases, Hurricane Matthew only added to the Halloween season (see below).
