‘Barn Raiser’ to benefit marsh tacky horses

The Daufuskie Marsh Tacky Society will hold a “Barn Raiser” May 18.

Participants will meet two of the newest members to the Marsh Tacky herd. The benefit event also will feature live music from John and Eric Cranford, raffles, a barbecue spread for $10 and games and fun.

The event is from 4-8 p.m., rain or shine, at the barn across from the Freeport Marina, on Daufuskie Island.
