Ridgeland exhibit to open with full day of festivities

A new exhibit at the Morris Center in Ridgeland will open with a full day of events including a community cook-off.

“Roots: The Lowdown on Lowcountry Cuisine” will open with festivities from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. April 30, at the center, at 10782 Jacob Smart Blvd. S., Ridgeland.

A family-friendly affair, the event also will feature a kid’s zone, food trucks, live music, workshops, local artisans and living history reenactments.
