Singers-songwriters Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche will play for the Fripp Island Friends of Music series this weekend.

The performance is at 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Fripp Island Community Centre.

Suzzy Roche is the founding member of The Roches, whose song “The Married Men” became a hit for Phoebe Snow. The Roches have appeared on Saturday Night Live, the Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman and with Paul Simon.

Lucy Wainwright Roche is the daughter of musicians Suzzy Roche and Loudon Wainwright III. Her latest album is the critically acclaimed “There’s a Last Time for Everything.”

The pair’s first recording, “Fairytale and Myth” won the Vox Pop Best Singer/Songwriter CD for the Independent Music Awards.

Tickets are $25 for adults with discounts for students and are sold at the door.

Attendees receive a free pass at the island community’s gate and are invited to join the artists at a complimentary catered reception following the performance.
