Lucas: Beaufort film festival accepting entries for 2017
Calling all directors, writers and filmmakers.
The Beaufort International Film Festival is now accepting entries for their 11th annual event set for Feb. 15-19, 2017 in Beaufort.
Considered one of the fastest growing film festivals in the country, the Beaufort International Film Festival has seen increased attendance every year since its inception in 2007, according to a news release.
The festival broke records again this year. More than 12,000 people from 37 states and 5 countries participated in some part of the five-day festival held Feb. 11-13 at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Center for the Arts.
Categories for competition are: features, documentaries, short films, student films, animation and screenplays.
An Early Bird deadline for submissions is June 30. The final deadline is Oct. 31.
