With musical performances, school productions and new art to enjoy, there is no shortage of things to do and see around the Lowcountry this week.

Those who enjoy suspense will want to check out the comedy-thriller “Deathtrap” coming up this weekend in Bluffton.

The Ridgeland-based theater group Coastal Stage Productions will take on the Tony-nominated play by Ira Levin, which was also a movie, if you’ll recall, starring Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve.

Coastal Stage recently presented “The Great American Trailer Park Musical.”

The play runs at 8 tonight and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Bluffton School of Dance and Performing Arts Center, at 123 Persimmon St. (corner of Persimmon and Hornbeam streets), Bluffton.

Tickets are $18 in advance, with discounts for seniors, students and members of the military. Tickets at the door are $20.
