Jean fights for spot in coveted ‘Top 10’, finalists revealed on live show Thursday
On what was a nail biter of an “American Idol” Wednesday night, Bluffton’s Lee Jean lived to fight — or in this case sing — for another day.
Within the first few minutes of the show, the celebrity judges announced four who they insisted “had to be among the show’s Top 10.”
But the Bluffton High School junior was not among the “judges picks.”
Throughout Wednesday’s show, Jean and the remaining contenders had to perform for their spot with their fate left up to the American viewing public who now vote by phone or text.
Jean performed “Make it Rain” by Ed Sheeran, and while judge Keith Urban said he thought Jean’s nerves may have gotten to him a bit, the country music star said he still liked Jean’s overall “chill” style.
The 16-year-old is one of the youngest contenders on the show. Several other “Idol” hopefuls are 15.
While no one was eliminated Wednesday, Jean fans will have to tune in Thursday night when the “Top 10” finalists are revealed to find out if Jean makes it through.
