The author of a new work of historical non-fiction will be in the Lowcountry for several book signings coming up this weekend.

On Hilton Head, signings for the “Black Blue Bloods — Legacy of an African-American Plantation Owner” by Greenville, S.C. writer Christopher Emil Williams will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturdayat the Harbour Town Lighthouse, at 149 Lighthouse Road and 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, at Barnes and Noble, at 20 Hatton Place, Hilton Head Island.

In Savannah, a signing will take place from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, at Barnes and Noble at the Oglethorpe Mall.

The book is in the process of being made into a documentary film.
