Idol down to 19; Bluffton teen still in

Looks like Lee Jean fans will have to wait another week before they’ll see the Bluffton contender on “American Idol” again.

This week, 12 of the semi-finalists performed on the music reality competition first as part of a “solo round” Wednesday night, then as part of a duet with past “Idol” winners such as Ruben Studdard, Lauren Alaina, Nick Fradiani and others on Thursday night.

Five contestants were eliminated from the group Thursday night, bringing the total number of semi-finalists down to 19.

The show is scheduled to run through April 7 and will conclude with a live, two-hour farewell celebration as this season marks the final chapter in the show’s 15-year run.

“American Idol” airs from 8-9 p.m. on Wednesdays and 8-10 p.m. on Thursdays on Fox.
