Lucas: Big weekend at The Jazz Corner, Grammy-nominated Rene Marie to appear among others

Jazz lovers will have a lot to choose from with several big names and a fundraiser coming to The Jazz Corner this weekend.

Grammy-nominated Rene Marie will make an appearance at the club. Marie will sing from her new album “I Wanna Be Evil (With Love to Eartha Kitt),” which pays tribute to the late jazz and soul singer.

The show from 8-11 p.m. Saturday at the club, at 1000 William Hilton Parkway in the village of Wexford, Hilton Head Island.

The cost is $25.

Then, the club will host a Valentine's Day show featuring the music of Nat King Cole from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.

The event, which will raise money for The Junior Jazz Foundation, will feature Reggie Deas and The Martin Lesch Band and will include a three-course meal and wine pairings.

Tickets are $100.

Finally, The Headliners close the weekend with a show starting at 8 p.m. Sunday.

This six-piece band plays a range of music from big band, to classic rock ’n’ roll, beach music and more.

The show is $10.
